LEON DUNCAN

Leon began his music career at the age of 5. He started learning piano and then began lessons on percussion at the age of 8. He has now branched out to become one of Australia's leading percussionists. He plays in a wide range of ensembles including Orchestras, Brass Bands, Rock and Jazz Bands, Percussion Ensembles and many more. He has had the opportunity to travel overseas with his music touring Europe, Asia and New Zealand. He is regularly playing gigs at major venues in the Melbourne area. He has performed with the likes of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, John Farnham, Thirsty Merc, The Temper Trap and many more. He teaches at various schools with approximately 60 students. Leon has won numerous awards for percussion including National and State level competitions.
